ReplyDeleteWith talk of old hams holding out, I wonder if you would be kind enough to pass on my deepest sympathies to Barry’s family. I fear that they think me insensitive for calling the day of his sudden passing and asking if he was making angel cakes.
I was not to know, that with your own grief, you had slipped back into your West Midland accent from days of old. As god is my witness, I genuinely believed that you said that Barry was “baking”.
Since the day that Barry’s heart was in my mouth his family have been in mine. If you do see the family please let them know I would love to have at least one of them over for a Sunday roast in the near future.
